I am originally from Milwaukee, WI, retired Tax Accountant for PM. I now live in Central WI and winter in Central FL. I studied drawing with a local wildlife artist after retirement and started painting in watercolor while in Florida in 2002. Since then I have participated in classes, workshops, and demonstrations to improve my technique.
I have won awards at rural art shows and county fairs in both WI and FL. I am a member of the Citrus County Art Center, The Stoneridge Snowbirds Painting Group and the Citrus Watercolor Club in FL. I exhibit at the Florida Art Gallery, Hidden Treasures in Floral City, Stoneridge Art Gallery in Inverness and the Citrus County Art Center Gallery as well as various area restaurants and libraries. In WI I am a member of the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association in Madison and the Rural Rembrandt Art Club in Wautoma. I exhibit at Arts of Dacholah and Thrasher Opera House Annex in Green Lake, Waupaca Art Center Gallery, Waupaca, and the Wautoma Performing Arts Center and local libraries.
My favorite subjects are flowers and rural scenes in addition to many various underwater scenes featuring game fish found in both areas where we reside. I do some acrylics, limited pastel and colored pencil as well as pen & ink and charcoal drawings. Watercolor/mixed media have become my passion. I see myself as an emerging artist. You can see more of my artwork on the Florida Artist Gallery website: floridaartistsgallery.com, the Rural Rembrandt Art Club website gallery page at www.ruralrembrandts.com and the Waupaca Art Center website at www.wcacenter.com. I welcome you to check them out.
